How It Works

Most floating lounges are designed to stay near shore. SUP Paddle Lounge was designed to go where your paddleboards can go with no interference to your paddle experience! You attach some components to your boards on shore, paddle out like you normally would and fully deploy the lounge at your favorite destination. It’s a different kind of setup than a typical inflatable float and that’s exactly what makes the experience unique.

Partially set up on land

Before you head out, attach the Lounge Bases to your paddleboards on shore. The Lounge Bases and Spacing Bars strap onto your boards right on shore, no tools, just ratchet straps and push-button connections. Once you load and secure the remaining cross bars and mesh on the boards you are ready to paddle! The bases are compact and streamlined so you can comfortably paddle with them mounted.

The whole land portion takes about five minutes once you know what you're doing. The system weighs 32 lbs, so depending on how you choose to split components, each board will carry between 10-20lbs.

Paddle out

With everything secured on the boards, you and your partner can push off and paddle to your spot together. The lounge rides on the boards without getting in the way meaning your stroke, your stance, your board, are all normal.

The parts not attached to paddleboards are designed to float if they fall in the water, but should stay well-secured and not allowed to fall out of the boards.

Finish Set up on water

When you reach your spot, position the boards side-by-side, thread the cross bars through the mesh and connect the bars to the mounted bases one board at a time.

It's a two-person job, and the first time takes a little patience to get the sequence down. By your third or fourth outing it starts feeling like second nature, the kind of thing you stop thinking about and just do. Wind, waves, and current can shift the boards while connecting the bars, which is why calm water conditions and a practice run is strongly recommended.
