FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT SUP PADDLE LOUNGE

Q1 What is the SUP Paddle Lounge?

The SUP Paddle Lounge is a modular floating lounge that connects between two paddleboards you already own. It lets you paddle out to your favorite spot, set up in minutes, and relax on the water with your crew — something between a pool float and a picnic blanket, but way better than either. It's the thing that turns a paddle into a destination.

Q2 How many people can it hold?

The SUP Paddle Lounge has a 400 lb total weight capacity and a 6 ft × 6 ft mesh platform. Two people is the comfortable baseline, three feels great, and four to five is the upper limit depending on size and weight. Kids fit easily alongside adults.

Q3 Does the SUP Paddle Lounge include paddleboards?

No. Paddleboards are not included. The lounge is an accessory system that attaches to compatible paddleboards.

Q4 What paddleboards are compatible?

Most standard paddleboards work. Here's what yours needs to meet:

  • At least 10 feet long
  • At least 4 inches thick
  • No wider than 36 inches

Both boards don't need to be identical, but they should both meet those specs.

Q5 Does it work with inflatable paddleboards?

Yes — it works especially well with inflatables, as long as they are fully inflated to the manufacturer's recommended PSI before setup and meet the board dimensions requirements, they'll work great. A soft board that's underinflated won't give the Lounge Bases the grip they need, so make sure you're pumped up before you head out.

Q6 Will it fit on any brand of paddleboard?

It's designed to be compatible with the vast majority of standard SUPs on the market. If your boards meet the size requirements above (10 ft long, 4" thick, under 36" wide), you're good.

Q7 Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely. The mesh is dog-approved and our own dog uses it regularly. Just make sure your total weight (people + pets) stays under 400 lbs.

Q8 How much does it weigh?

All lounge components together weigh about 32 lbs. When split between 2 boards, each board will carry somewhere between 10-20lbs, depending how you split the components.

Q9 What's included in the box?

Everything you need: 4 Lounge Bases (with ratchet straps), 2 Spacing Bars, 2 Cross Bars, a 6 ft × 6 ft Lounging Mesh, and 2 carry bags — one for the bars, one for the mesh and bases. No tools required and nothing to buy separately.

SETUP & USE

Q1 Is it difficult to paddle with it?

The support bars and lounge components pack down small enough to carry directly on the boards while paddling. Parts are designed not to interfere with your paddle strokes and leave plenty of room for other gear.

Q2 How does the setup work?

The setup process has three basic steps:

  1. Attach the Lounge Bases to your paddleboards
  2. Paddle out with the components secured to your boards
  3. Connect the crossbars and set up the lounge on the water
Q3 How long does setup take?

On land, the first phase takes about 5 minutes once you've practiced — you'll attach the Lounge Bases, Spacing Bars, and Cross Bars right on shore before you push off. On the water, finishing the setup can take as little as 5-10 minutes with a second person. We'd recommend a practice run in calm, shallow water near shore.

Q4 Is setup difficult?

We want to be upfront: the first time takes a little patience, especially getting comfortable with the set up on the water.  That's completely normal. By your third or fourth outing it becomes second nature — the kind of thing you stop thinking about and just do. The learning curve is short, and there's a setup video in your owner's manual QR code to help.

Q5 Do I need any tools?

No tools required. Everything connects with ratchet straps, push-button bar connections and Velcro straps.

Q6 Can one person set it up?

The land phase (strapping the bases and bars to the boards) can be done solo. The water phase — connecting the Cross Bars across both boards — is a two-person job. You'll want someone with you on the water.

Q7 Does it fit in a car?

Yes. The system is designed to be portable and transportable in most SUVs, crossovers, and many standard vehicles. The total weight for all parts is 32 lbs. It packs into two bags: one with mesh and bases, and the other for the bars. You can transport it easily in addition to your standard paddleboard equipment.

Q8 Can I leave the lounge assembled while paddling?

The lounge should only be assembled once you reach your destination on calm water. The system is designed to be transported disassembled on your paddleboards, then set up on the water or near shore. Once deployed, you can easily adjust its position and paddle short distances, but it’s not designed for long journeys.

WHERE TO USE IT

Q1 Where is the SUP Paddle Lounge designed to be used?

It's made for calm, protected water — lakes are the sweet spot, along with slow rivers, mangroves, and sheltered coastal bays or coves. If the water is calm and warm, you're in the right place.

Q2 Can I use it in salt water?

The lounge can be used in salt water, but make sure to rinse all components with fresh water after use to maximize longevity.

Q3 Can I use it in the ocean?

Only in very calm, protected ocean conditions with minimal waves or current. The lounge is not intended for rough water, surf, or offshore conditions.

SAFETY

Q1 Is the SUP Paddle Lounge a life-saving device?

No. The lounge is not a personal flotation device or life-saving product. Users should always wear appropriate safety gear and follow local water safety regulations.

Q2 Can children use the lounge?

Children should always be supervised by adults while using the lounge.

Q3 Can I anchor the lounge?

Yes, many users choose to anchor their setup in calm water. Always use appropriate anchoring practices based on your location and water conditions.

Q4 Can I stand on the lounge?

The lounge is designed primarily for relaxing and lounging. Users should use caution when moving around the setup, especially during setup and breakdown.
